What's the difference between signature and non-signature services?

Choosing a delivery service with a signature adds extra security to your parcel as delivery will only be made if someone is available to receive the parcel. This could be a person at the address or a neighbour (subject to availability and at the discretion of the courier). You’ll be able to see who received the parcel as the signature name will be added to the online tracking.

By choosing a non-signature delivery service, your parcel can be left in a safe place if there is nobody available. A secure location must be dry and secure, such as an open porch, shed or greenhouse. As your parcel will be left unattended, we recommend that you do not send anything valuable using this type of service.

To find out whether the service you choose requires a signature, just check the service features by clicking the information button on the quote page.
