Will I have to pay customs charges when I send a parcel internationally?

In the same way that the UK government adds tax to items imported within England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, other countries (including the EU following Brexit) have the power to add additional taxes or charges when you send a parcel into their country.

These charges are applied whether your parcel contents are brand-new or have already been used, even if you have already paid tax within the country originally purchased. We can’t offer any information as to whether you’ll be charged, or how much the charge will be, we’re sorry about that.  If you want to find out more, please contact the customs office of the country you are sending the parcel to.
